The School Building

Harwa Rinpoche established the Gomang Monastic University and officially opened it in 2002 with 180 students who came from different areas of Tibet, with some coming from mainland China.

 

Students' Assembly Hall

Classes of monks receive teachings from Harwa Rinpoche in the assembly hall. The students come from many regions of Tibet

Philosophical Debate

The monastic learning style is very unique and successful. Monks received teachings from their philosophy teacher as a class and then discuss and debate the teachings in small groups. They then debate with other classes and the debate sessions can be very heated and quite interesting.

 

Students' Residents

After a student is accepted to the university then don't have worry about anything other than their studies. Harwa Rinpoche and the monastery provide shelter, food and clothes for all the students.
